Joseph established a non-denominational church

- Book of Commandments has same definition in it Mosiah 26:22

For behold this is my church whosoever is baptized shall be baptized unto repentance
- DOES NOT SAY BY SOME ORGANISATION
Mosiah 26:21

and he that will hear my voice shall be my sheep and him shall ye receive into the church and him will i also receive.
- anyone who hears the Spirit of God is a member of his church

- that's a non denominational church Mosiah 26:28

Wherefore i say unto you he that will not hear my voice him shall you not receive into my church

- its all based on someone hearing the spirit which is the freedom to choose your relationship with God

D&C 3:16 RLDS / D&C 10:67 LDS

67 Behold, this is my doctrine—whosoever repenteth and cometh unto me, the same is my church.

68 Whosoever declareth more or less than this, the same is not of me, but is against me; therefore he is not of my church.

- so anyone who wants to have dominance over there fellows says "we have the only right church"

- began to move away from true concepts
- 1835 revised the doctrine and covenants took all of it out, no more all things common
- gets worse as time went by
- first 4 years Joseph Smith was a prophet after that it went south
